Job responsibilities:
• Maintained the day to day clinical operating activities of the Nuclear Cardiology sites in a large cardiology practice with 10 locations.
• Recruited and hired staff as necessary. 90% of the Nuclear Medicine employees, who started with me, remained with the corporation during my tenure. Performed yearly evaluations and competencies on all nuclear medicine staff. Minimized overtime. Mentored and coached all nuclear employees, helped them develop new skills, streamlined processes to increase efficiency of their departments.
• Negotiated and successfully purchased capital equipment including delivery, set up and training of all personnel.
• Initiated the weekly training of patients choosing to start a home monitoring system of testing their blood for Coumadin levels. The QAS monitor was supplied by the company and weekly programs were set up off hours in one of the physician offices. Successfully trained >100 patients with excellent feedback.
• Negotiated all service contracts for nuclear medicine equipment. Changed vendors if necessary for better service or pricing.
• Directed operations to meet company budget expectations and financial goals.
• Developed expense and budget plans for nuclear labs
• Collaborated with other Office Managers and Physicians to standardize operations, implement new processes, problem- solve any issues; provide staff coverage etc at all diagnostic centers.
• Facilitated the start up of 5 diagnostic centers.
• Facilitated the closure and sale of equipment for 2 diagnostic centers that ceased operations.
• Participating member of steering committee for the purchase of a PACS system and CT systems for the practice. Neither system was deemed financially feasible for the practice and not purchased.
• Trained, coached and mentored all Casep employees on scheduling diagnostic studies, including preparations, how to scheduled multi-modalities, etc.
